Ava | Mercer Island Dog Photographer

This dog rocks! Sweet as can be and plenty fun and playful. We (me, Ava and her great 2 legged friends) took a long walk through the woods and over to a nice shady spot for lunch. Ava could not have been more well behaved and friendly. You could see the joy in her step when she was let off leash and into the woods, searching around for birds and all things flying. She bounced around the trail like the happiest dog on earth. After we got back, I got a few of her being silly until she finally crashed out for the afternoon.

Does she just not ooze happiness?!

Peepers! | Issaquah Dog Photographer

Last weekend I was down in Olympia with a good friend of mine to shoot a wedding. So while I was down there and had a few free moments I got to play around with Mr. Peepers. He was rescued by the same friend I am shooting this wedding with. Peepers was running around taking inventory of the whole location. Never getting in the way, but always nearby. He had moments of calm and then bursts of crazy energy. It wasn’t the easiest of tasks to get him to hang out for a bit. But he was nice enough to give me a few moments. Peepers, you are a GOOD dog, and I am so glad that Christian and Amber saved you from what could have been.

I love his eyes in this one…and his one white paw…

and his white furry chest…

and this cute swirl of hair on his neck that just wouldn’t lay flat!

Finally tired out…

I hope we can play again soon!

Been out and about…come check out Facebook

It’s been a while since I have been able to post here. I have been out and about, busy as ever, and haven’t had the time to keep this blog updated.

However I have been updating Facebook fairly regularly! If you haven’t had the chance to come over and check it out, please do! ‘Follow’, ‘Like’, ‘Fan’ (or whatever they are calling it now) my page and keep up to date with the latest and greatest. I promise I’ll get back to blogging soon, but for now I’ll be updating FB and planning on a bit of a site redesign here.

So come on over and check it out!

Baby L | Issaquah Newborn Photographer

Baby L was such a big guy for two weeks old! He weighed in at over 10 pounds at birth and he was just as cute as ever. I had a great time visiting with his parents during the shoot. L is a lucky boy, his parents are great people in every sense and I know he is going to have a lot of fun in that household. Congratulations! Here are a few more from that day.

Starters! | Issaquah Pet Photographer

I finally got the chance to get some pictures of this adorable little furry pup who moved in with his new family a few weeks ago. His name is Starters, but he already has several great new nicknames. Starters was as loveable and fun as they come. The kids around loved playing with him and honestly it gave me a little bit of puppy fever. With his super soft fur and that sweet puppy breath, I could easily see having another around the house! Not sure how our two labs would like that because I hear he has been causing some mischief over at his house chewing on the ears of his big brother. I am so glad he came by to visit before he got so big he didn’t look like a puppy anymore. Thanks J! here are a few from this afternoon…hope you love them as much as I do!

Product Spotlight – Session Albums | JClegg Photography

For the first product spotlight I wanted to show one of the most popular items that clients love – the session album. It has become so popular that it is now a part of every collection. Each album is handmade to order which is why they take a little longer to order than prints or canvases, but they are definitely worth the wait! You get to choose the material and the color of the cover and also whether the pages are black or white.

The 5×5 album is included in the Lake Sammamish Collection with 20 of your favorite images. Each image is outlined with one of four choices of creative borders.

The 10×10 albums are part of the Lake Washington (20 pages) and Puget Sound (30 pages) collections. Each album is custom designed and a piece of art you’ll be excited to show your friends and family.

Here are a few shots of some client albums from some previous sessions. At your session you will be able to view a sample of each album so you can feel the quality and thickness of these beautiful albums. Enjoy!

Day at the train depot | Issaquah Maternity Photographer

It was a great afternoon here in Issaquah. I got to spend the afternoon catching up with a good friend who is about due to bring her first child into the world. I was able to meet her super nice husband who has a great sense of humor, and I was able to try out some maternity shots which I am very new to. They were nice enough to come down and model for me and let me fumble around a bit until I figured out what I wanted to do. You guys were great and it was so good to see you again. I can’t wait to meet your new son in a few weeks. I know you both will make amazing parents! Here are a few from the afternoon.

Know anyone else about due to give birth? Please forward on this post or send me an email. I am looking for more women who are interested in maternity photography. Session fee is waved and you can choose either an 8×10 or 2 5×7′s for your time.

Sneak Peek Baby A! | Bellevue Newborn and Family Photographer

Little baby A was the quietest newborn I have ever met. And not because she was asleep the whole time, because she never did REALLY get into that deep slumber until, I am sure, right after I left. But wide awake and even dozing she was just super silent. I think she was probably watching her big brother who was quite the ham. She is a lucky girl, because he was just the sweetest boy. I am sure they are going to have a great time growing up together.

Here are a few from that day. Thanks so much to the family for having me over, it was truly a pleasure getting to know you guys a little. I’ll have the balance of your images posted in your gallery this week.

Super Max! | Seattle Newborn Photographer

What a great session…Max is one of the coolest newborns I have met yet. He was so laid back and was up for anything. It was good that he was, his aunt is an awesome hockey goalie, and we had to get some shots of him with all the gear. We had a great time! I can see where Max gets it, his mom was wonderful and fun and I had such a great time getting to know her. Thanks so much for letting me hang out with you guys and spend the afternoon with you and Max. Here’s a few from that day.

Great day at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival | JClegg Photography

I have a couple of other sessions to post, but instead I decided to get some of these images up from the great day I had at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. If you can get up there on a weekday when the weather is nice, you will definitely find yourself in an experience like no other. We have tried to go for the last few years. One year we went we took the dogs. Bad idea…no pets allowed. Another year, traffic was a mess and the weather was very cold and rainy. I guess they were all trial runs for yesterday because it could not have been more perfect. Sixty-ish degrees, nice, mild, dry. No traffic, few people. I had a hard time choosing the shots to post, but here are a few from the day. I highly recommend a trip up there, there are many great farms to stop at along the way, the food is fantastic, and it is just a gorgeous part of our great state.
