We have had quite the snow storm over the Christmas holidays. I have never seen so much snow since living here. The roads are a mess and we haven’t been to work in days. Thankfully I can do some work from home. We finally got out and about after several days of unusually snowy weather. Here are a few shots from our first outing. Needless to say…we got snow tires after this winter.
Well the good thing about being stranded by these crazy snow storms is that there’s plenty of time to get some baking done. I found this recipe online somewhere and had to try it. It was completely worth it! Peanut butter cookies surround melted chocolate and marshmallow filling. Put in the fridge to cool and MMMMmmm…some of the best cookies I have ever eaten!

Well I finally scraped up enough money to purchase some lights, which will help with those short days when there is little available light. Here’s me playing around with some isolation on white. Thanks to Bailey, my sweet girl for being my model. She is much better behaved than our unruly boy Banjo who I hope to have some shots of up here soon.
Well here’s our first year at the pumpkin patch. I can’t say JR was too interested in the pumpkins, but we still had a great time introducing him to what we hope to become a yearly tradition. Maybe next year he’ll enjoy the corn maze and the hay rides.
JC has given us lots of reasons to smile and laugh, and lots of great photo ops. But this by far is my favorite one of him to date. He’s got some great smiles that just warm our hearts.We look forward to every day we get to hang out with him.
I had such a great time making this collage, every picture was cracking me up. This cute little girl took some coaxing, but she couldn’t hold back the smiles for very long and she had us all laughing by the end.
Tonight I have been messing around with a few design templates I got for newborns. They are called ‘Organic Baby’. I think they look fantastic! Great for birth announcements or just for fun, they have a great look to them and I am excited to have them in my collections.
This little guy was born just a few days ago and I had the great opportunity to go over and photograph him and his family. I wanted to make a storyboard of him and his dad to capture that special bond between father and son. They are such a fantastic family and I look forward to photographing them for years to come.
Still trying to catch that elusive smile whenever the camera is around. All day long smile after smile. Pull the camera out…no more smiles! But I am getting closer.
Happy Birthday to these two adorable little girls who just LOVED their first cake. It was a beautiful warm summer day. There was cake and ice cream and a delicious BBQ. Friends and family were all there to celebrate. We look forward to many more birthday parties to come…it was a great time had by all.
