What can I expect at a photo session?
Newborns: I come to you and photograph your newborn at your home. Sessions can last up to 3+ hours. We will take all the time you need to do a feedings, take breaks, diaper changes, etc…
All Others: All sessions take place at a location of your choice. I can come to you and photograph at your home or your favorite location. I have some great ideas where to shoot if you are not sure, just ask and we’ll find the perfect place.
Sessions usually take a couple of hours. I usually have a handful of ideas I like to try, but if one doesn’t work out, that’s okay, we can go on to the next. If you have ideas, please share them, this is your experience and your images and I want them to be as perfect for you as possible.
Whether the photo session is at your place or on location, we can take a look around and scope out the best spots for lighting and backgrounds. If we do shoot at your house, please don’t go to any trouble getting your house ultra clean. I have kids (one under two and two furry ones), I know what they can do to a house and it doesn’t bother me. Just show me around…show me things that mean something to you and your family. We can talk for a while, pick out outfits for the kids if you haven’t decided on that just yet, and just get a fun and relaxed environment so we can have a great time!
When should I book my newborn session?
For newborn sessions, be sure to call within the last couple of months of pregnancy. Newborn sessions should happen within the first 10 days after birth if possible. This is the best time to capture those sweet squishy curled up newborn images. Knowing newborns don’t always like to appear on their scheduled dates, it is not a problem if a newborn session needs to be moved from the date we agree on. This is just a tentative placeholder and we can get together as soon after your little one is welcomed into the world.

How long will a session take?
Every session is unique and they are never rushed. Usually sessions last 1-2 hours unless you have a very small child or newborn which can take up to 3+ hours. As long as your child is enjoying it, we can keep shooting. I want the experience to be as enjoyable as possible.
Can I bring my camera too and get some shots?
Please leave your cameras at home. No cameras, video recorders, cell phone cameras are permitted at any session.
What should I wear?
It is usually best to stick with solid colors. Nothing too crazy as far as prints and stripes. The best images are when clothing is timeless. Think simple and classic. If you have a newborn that we are photographing with no clothing, it is best to keep them in loose clothes and diapers so their skin doesn’t have marks that are left from those items.
How long will it take to get the images/keepsakes I have ordered?
Orders are fulfilled when payment is made. Orders that consist of only prints can be fulfilled within 2 weeks, usually sooner. Some items can take 4-6 weeks depending on the collection ordered and lab turn-around times. Some of the Session Albums and Gallery Wrapped Canvases can take 4-6 weeks to receive.
Are digital files available for purchase?
Yes! Single files and/or the entire session of digital files are both available.
Can you tell me about Copyright?
It is illegal to reproduce professional photographs. All images are the property of JClegg Photography and are protected by federal copyright laws. Copying images without permission is punishable by up to a $150,000 fine. It is unlawful to copy, scan, download, print, email, or reproduce these images in any way without written permission. JClegg Photography retains the right to all images for promotional materials including, but not limited to, brochures, website, or competitive use. JClegg Photography reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who copies her work without permission. Copyright violations will be prosecuted.
